How to Connect Your Wallet on THORSwap
Note: connecting to THORSwap via Xdefi's upcoming browser extension wallet will soon be the recommended way to connect to THORSwap. We'll be editing this guide to include Xdefi connection details shortly.
There are many ways to connect your wallet to THORSwap, however, you cannot connect directly from any centralized exchange such as Coinbase, Binance, KuCoin or Kraken.
You must connect from a self-custodial wallet (TrustWallet, Rainbow Wallet, etc...)
Don't have a wallet? See "Creating a Keystore Wallet" below.
How to connect an existing wallet via seed phrase
If you already have a wallet you can connect it using the 3 simple steps outlined below.
1️. Start by clicking Connect and then Import Phrase
2️. The following pop-up will appear asking you to enter your 12 Seed Phrase. Remember the seemingly random 12 words you were told to write down when you first created your crypto wallet? It's those 12 words..
Enter them each in order with one space between each word.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Always double check the website domain to make sure you are on the official https://app.thorswap.finance/ website.
After entering your Seed Phrase, you must then enter your Password below and click Backup Keystore to create a keystore.
3️. Now that you have created your Keystore, go back to step 1 of this guide and choose Connect Keystore.
Upload the Keystore file that was just downloaded to your computer from step 2 and then input your password again to complete the wallet connection process.
✅ All finished! Your wallet should now be connected.
Creating a Keystore Wallet
If you don't have an existing cryptocurrency wallet to import, you can create a new wallet on THORSwap.
1️. Start by clicking Connect and then Create Keystore
2️. The following pop-up will appear asking you create a password. Make sure to create a new, unique password that you don't use anywhere else.
✅ Your new wallet should now connected.
If you keep your crypto currency on a CEX such as Coinbase or Binance and would like to LP it on THORChain, simply withdraw your crypto currency from your CEX account to the relevant wallet address in your Keystore Wallet.
All Binance Chain (BEP2) coins should be sent to your Binance Chain address on THORChain.
All Ethereum Chain (ERC20) coins should be sent to your Ethereum Chain address on THORChain.
Supported coins that live on other blockchains have their own address, as seen in the image below.
Anytime you wish to connect it again, simply Connect Keystore on https://app.thorswap.finance/ and input your password.
